Red Ribbon Week More Important Then Ever in 2008
CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (October 15, 2008) – Linn County residents will join more then 80 million people across the country to celebrate National Red Ribbon Week, October 23-31, to raise awareness about drugs and encourage healthy lifestyle choices.
In the wake of the record floods of 2008, National Red Ribbon Week may be more important in Eastern Iowa this year then ever before, according to Stephanie Neff of the Linn County Partnership on Substance Abuse.
